Virtual Canoeing Has Arrived

Whether you consider it a sign of the times or a harbinger of the apocalypse, virtual canoeing is here.
Paddling a canoe is one of the gaming activities of the new video game package Wii Sports Resort, released last month. Now, fans of the Nintendo Wii game system can pretend to paddle a canoe with no worries about PFDs, swamping, or sunburn.
Or, interaction with nature, we feel compelled to add.
Using the “Wiimote” as one would a real paddle, players mimic the paddling stroke to maneuver their virtual canoe through an obstacle course offered by the game.
