British “Canoe Man” Comes Clean

14 Mar

In a follow-up to a story we noted, HERE, back in December and that the British press has thoroughly enjoyed, John Darwin, the British man who was thought to have perished in a canoeing accident in 2002, has now admitted faking his death.

Darwin pleaded guilty to seven counts of obtaining cash by deception and one passport offence recently. He denied other counts, according to a Guardian story HERE, but will not stand trial for them.

His wife, who is alleged to be an complice in the ruse, denied charges against her and is expected to stand trial.
