Boundary Waters Permits Available

27 Feb

The day after a 6-inch snowstorm — that’s what we got outside the Canoeing.com office here in Minneapolis — may not seem like the time to plan a canoe trip, but it is.

Reservations are now available for permits to paddle in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness between May 1 and September 30, 2009.  The 1.3 million acre BWCAW, which contains over 1200 miles of canoe routes, is one of North America’s most popular paddling destinations.

You can plan a BWCAW trip using the resources in Canoeing.com’s Boundary Waters Destination Guide, and with our interactive BWCAW Entry Points Map, HERE.  From there, our links can take you directly to the BWCAW permit web site, HERE.
