Sign Up Time: 2013 Mississippi River Challenge

2 May

Its time to start filling your summer with paddling events, and one of our faves is the Mississippi River Challenge in the Twin Cities MN.

Dates: July 27-28, 2013

Paddle 44 miles of urban waterways on a fully supported, guided tour of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers! The Mississippi River Challenge gives canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard paddlers of all levels a chance to paddle in good company for a great cause. Spot an eagle, paddle past wilderness and urban skylines, and experience history while camping in Historic Fort Snelling, where the two rivers meet.

“The river challenge is completely unique, and I look forward to it for months.” – 2012 paddler

The Mississippi River Challenge is the signature event for Friends of the Mississippi River with the dual purpose of getting people connected to our local waterways and raising money to support important river conservation work.

Join us on this fun adventure to support Friends of the Mississippi River’s mission to engage community members to protect, restore and enhance the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities region.
